Illinois Review: No Climate Tax pledge signers increase to 13 IL congressional candidates

Americans for Prosperity-Illinois continues to accumulate “No Climate Tax” pledges from candidates vying for their party’s nomination in the February 2, 2010 election. Thus far, 13 Illinois Congressional candidates have promised if elected they would not support legislation such as Cap and Trade, which, the non-partisan AFP contends, would set up a “climate tax.” Those Congressional candidates that have signed the pledge thus far are:

* Dirk Beveridge - Candidate - 8th District
* John Dawson - Candidate - 8th District
* Chris Geissler - Candidate - 8th District
* Maria Rodriguez - Candidate - 8th District
* Joe Walsh - Candidate - 8th District
* Robert Dold - Candidate - 10th District
* Dick Green - Candidate - 10th District
* David McAloon - Candidate - 11th District
* Henry Meers Jr. - Candidate - 11th District
* Bobby Schilling - Candidate - 17th District
* Aaron Schock - U.S. Representative - 18th District
