The North Carolina chapter of the grassroots free market group Americans for Prosperity (AFP-NC) today applauded U.S. House candidate William Breazeale (7th District) for signing the group’s No Climate Tax pledge. Breazeale joins more than 365 lawmakers and candidates on the federal, state and local levels pledging to “oppose legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue.” Breazeale spoke to the group on February 18. He covered his views on a variety of issues, from the “No Climate Tax” pledge, to his support of the Fair Tax, to Property Rights. Breazeale was also able to tout the endorsement of AFP favorite Chad Adams.
“I was honored to speak in front of the good folks at Americans For Prosperity and was proud to sign their pledge,” observed Breazeale. “The key to getting America back on track is getting power out of the hands of government and back into the hands of the citizens. Few understand that like AFP.”
“The one thing elected officials should be able to agree on is that global warming shouldn’t be used as an excuse to hike taxes on citizens and businesses,” stated AFP-NC State Director Dallas Woodhouse. “We encourage all of North Carolina’s elected officials and candidates for elected office to sign the pledge.”
